Strategy Group

The Dorset Strategy Group has a view across all three management catchments in Dorset. The Strategy Group sets the direction for the partnership, guides its work and maximises the potential of delivery. 

Representatives in the Strategy Group include our co-hosts and key partners that cover the whole county or wider and have influence in strategic level decision-making outside of the partnership. As well as steering the Core Team and Delivery Groups, the Strategy Group advocate for catchment improvements externally to shape policy that supports mutually beneficial outcomes for the partnership.

Poole Harbour & Stour Delivery Groups

The Delivery Groups are split to focus on the locally distinctive needs of each catchment.

The Delivery Groups are made up of the Project Managers and Officers doing work 'on the ground'. Members of the Delivery Groups have combined expertise in everything 'catchment' covering science, engagement, environmental management and more.

The members of Delivery Groups collaborate on project development, sourcing funding, co-delivery and the sharing of knowledge. The Delivery Groups meet twice a year to update on progress and decide on the next steps of the project pipeline. In the interim between meetings, our partners work closely alongside each other on various cross-organisation schemes and projects that enact the Catchment Partnership's Action Plan.
